Acquired competencies

By successful completion of the master's programme, a student should have sufficient knowledge of:

  • The main concepts, acquired knowledge, and current research in APA-studies, including the completion of a research project
  • The nature of indications and/or limitations of physical activities and sports for people with disabilities, based on research findings
  • The application and evaluation of adequate methodological, social and integration strategies in the implementation of Adapted Physical Activity
  • State-of-the-art research and research methodology in APA
  • Practical experience in applying Adapted Physical Activities for persons with disabilities within a broad range of educational, sports, rehabilitation and recreational settings
The acquired competencies in the EMDAPA Master Course offer students a unique opportunity to combine advanced courses in movement, exercise science, and applied behaviour analysis with design-adapted physical activity programs for individuals with disabilities.
