| Objectives
of the Master's Programme
Under Action 3 of the call for proposals for Erasmus Mundus
projects, a partnership between the Erasmus Mundus Consortium
(Olomouc, Oslo, Limerick, and Leuven) and 3 third-country
partner universities has been established. The third-country
partner universities are the University of Stellenbosch in
South Africa, the University of Queensland in Australia, and
the University of Virginia in the United States.
This partnership offers the opportunity to the European students
participating in the Erasmus Mundus Program in Adapted Physical
Activity (APA) to complete phase 4 or/and phase 5 of the program
in one of the three third-country universities (for a maximum
period of 3 months). Please refer to the mobility
models for more information.
Phase 4 is defined as “introductory
course; participation in clinical practice and research-based
seminars related to the clinical practice,” and represents
7 ECTS. In this phase, students will be introduced to the
existing initiatives of APA intervention and APA research
in specialised centres at the partner university with a specific
population.
Phase 5 concerns the master's thesis, and
comprises “the final assessment of the master's project
proposal, and related specialisation in clinical practice,
data collection/empirical study and writing of master's dissertation,”
representing a maximum of 20 ECTS credits. The defence of
the master's thesis will be organised in one of the four Consortium
Universities at the end of phase 5, according to the chosen
mobility model.
The Consortium agrees to recognise the phases and credits
completed in the partner universities.
