Vacancies : Unsalaried visiting lecturer s / professors , part time (starting AY 2008-2009)

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences of the K.U.Leuven ( Belgium ) invites applications for part time unsalaried visiting lecturers/ professors for 2 years for the Erasmus Mundus programme Master in Adapted Physical Activity. This program is jointly organised with other European Universities.

The appointment involves teaching responsibility in one of the following courses:

  • Applied Research in Adapted Physical Activity: state of the art, module 'Psycho-social Aspects of APA' (10 contact hours)
  • Adapted Physical Activity Intervention – Sensorymotor Disorders (8 contact hours)
  • Applied Research in Adapted Physical Activity: state-of-the-art, module 'Exercise Physiology and Nutrition in APA’ (7 contact hours)
  • Adapted Physical Activity Intervention: Physiological disorders Part 'Obesity' (4 contact hours)

We are especially interested in applicants with a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Sciences, Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, Human Movement Sciences, Physical Education, Psychology, Medicine or any other equivalent. Applicants are expected to have excellent teaching and training skills as well as profound research experience in the area of Adapted Physical Activity. The language of instruction is English. A pplicants are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English, in writing as well as in speaking.

Expenses are covered via the Socrates mobility as stipulated by the bilateral agreements between the European Universities.
